The Museum of Fish and Fisheries is a unique place that contains items united by the “fish” theme, the theme of fishermen and fishing, in particular, its formation in the Black Sea. The exposition is based on the collection of Mikhail Ivanovich Kumantsov. A candidate of biological sciences, an expert in ichthyology and fish farming, a traveler and a passionate lover of the sea, he has been collecting unique exhibits for 25 years.
This is the only museum in the Crimea, and possibly in the world, which reveals the theme of fish as an art object. The museum is interesting for adults and children. It perfectly diversifies your leisure time. It will tell about interesting and little-known facts from the history of the relationship between man and the oceans.
The museum presents fishing gear, coins, stuffed fish, dishes, clothes and many unusual and educational exhibits (more than 5000), as well as a selfie zone with large and soft toy inhabitants of water spaces, games and an interactive touchscreen.
In a cozy wardroom, master classes are held on painting sea pebbles, classes are offered on creating three-dimensional paintings from natural materials, knitting sea knots, and painting.
